In compliance with the policy of the Malaysian Government, a Tourism Tax of RM10 flat rate per room night will be imposed on all foreign guests.
This ruling shall be effective as of 1st September 2017 and will be reflective separately in the room bill and/or room rate.
Malaysians are exempted from paying the levy.
In line with the reduction in Goods and Services Tax (GST) from 6% to 0% effective 1 June 2018, all prices and rates will reflect a rebate of 6% and shall be quoted as NETT pricing.
The revised prices and rates will remain until the implementation of a new sales and services tax structure to be announced by the Malaysian government.
